LOCAL OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES

Building Forever Families (BFF)
BFF is our newest local Kingdom endeavor as we partner with the LA County Department of Children and Family Services.  Our efforts revolve around three opportunities:
  • Foster Youth Mentor Program: Become a mentor to a youth and provide a positive, consistent and caring adult relationship that will guide and inspire youth who live in foster group-homes near the CA campus.                                                                                         Contact: FosterYouthMentoring@caeaglerock.com
  • Visitation Center Host: A Visitation Center is a place where birth parents can have supervised visitation with their children that are placed in foster care.  Hosts have the opportunity to monitor the parent-child visits and are an integral part of seeing families reunited. Contact: VisitationCenterTeam@caeaglerock.com
  • Building Forever Families Life Group: Do you want to learn more about becoming a Foster or Adoptive Parent?  Our Building Forever Families Life Group is available to anyone single or married who is interested in fostering or adopting a child.  Contact: BuildingForeverFamilies@caeaglerock.com
L.A. Skid Row Outreach
Skid Row Videoclick image to view videoEvery Sunday morning we have a local outreach to Skid Row. Everyone is welcome! If you would like to join a team, meet in the back parking lot of building 2401 (the main office) at 8:00 am. Please dress conservative. We will give out food, Bibles and other needed items. We build relationships with the people and have opportunity to pray with many. We arrive back at the church in time for the 11:15 Sunday service.

Day Laborers Outreach
Day Labor 2 pic Every Sunday morning, a team of CA folks go across the street from the Home Depot in Glendale and share God's love with the day laborers who gather there looking for work that day. Many of these men and women come from other countries and have few family members, resources, and very little hope. Our goal is to offer a cup of coffee, a small meal, a prayer and the limitless grace, hope and love we have found in God. If you would like to join a team, meet in the back parking lot of building 2401 (the main office) at 8:00 am. We arrive back at the church in time for the 11:15 Sunday service.

Kids Hope Mentoring
Kids Hope Logo The statistics for children growing up in Eagle Rock are not good...50% of them will not graduate from high school. Help change that by getting involved with Kids Hope and loving our city in a tangible way.

We will pair up you up with one "at-risk" child from Eagle Rock Elementary and a prayer partner from CA. You will receive four hours of training, you have the opportunity to mentor your child one hour every week at the school, during the school day, at a time that works with your schedule.

This is a nine-month commitment (aligned with the school year calendar). For more information click here
