Sometimes extending God's kingdom means looking right in our own communities. Everyday the poorest of the poor in Eagle Rock are dehumanized by those who pass them by without ever speaking a word to them or looking them in the eye. Weekly we are taking church into the neighborhood and onto the streets by offering a ministry of presence and recognition. God is building His Kingdom in the most unexpected ways and with the most unexpected people. (Wednesday nights)

Every Sunday morning we have a local outreach to Skid Row. Everyone is welcome! If you would like to join a team, meet in the back parking lot of building 2401 (the main office) at 8:00 am. Please dress conservative. We will give out food, Bibles and other needed items. We build relationships with the people and have opportunity to pray with many. We arrive back at the church in time for the 11:15 Sunday service.

The statistics for children growing up in Eagle Rock are not good...50% of them will not graduate from high school. Help change that by getting involved with Kids Hope and loving our city in a tangible way. We will pair up you up with one "at-risk" child from Eagle Rock Elementary and a prayer partner from CA. You will receive four hours of training, you have the opportunity to mentor your child one hour every week at the school, during the school day, at a time that works with your schedule.

Do you know of a friend or loved one actively serving in the Armed Forces? Then you know how important it is to be in prayer for those who are now deployed to countries all around the world. We have set aside this page for those in our congregation who need our prayer, but can also serve as an inspiration to each of us.
