We do a rolling selection process. What that means is that we collect applications and then bundle them together. On July 1, August 1, & September 1, we review each application that we have received in the preceding 30 days. We have very limited spots available. So depending on the number & quality of the applicants, we could fill all the spots with the July 1 group or the August 1 group. So the sooner you apply, the better to ensure there is still a spot left when your application arrives. Please return the completed application to Holly Karas at Christian Assembly: HollyK@caeaglerock.com or mail to 2424 Colorado Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90041.
This is a 10-hour week commitment that includes meeting 1x a week for approximately 1 hour with a supervising CA staff member. The other 9 hours you will be leading or serving in one of CA's ministries, or maybe even starting something new. You do not need to be a student to do an internship with CA. However, if you are in college or graduate school, the CA Intern positions are eligible for academic credit at a number of college and graduate schools including, but not limited to, Fuller Theological Seminary. This is one year experience beginning in September concluding early June. At the end of the first year, you may apply for one additional year of an internship if you are interested.

CA Year Out FAQ
This internship is designed for CA leaders who would like to gain graduate level training for ministry. As part of an innovative experiment bringing the best of Fuller and Christian Assembly together, six classes will be taught at CA over a two-year cycle. If you are accepted to one of the limited spots, you will be able to take six classes at a 40% reduction from Fuller's normal tuition. If you take and pass all six classes, you will then receive a Graduate Certificate in Ministry accredited by Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. OR, should you decide you'd like to pursue a master's degree, you can reject the certificate, and transfer the classes into one of several master's degree programs at Fuller including degrees from the School of Theology, School of Intercultural Studies, and The School of Psychology. Academic advisors at Fuller can help you figure out what classes can be applied to which specific degrees. Just as an example, with the Masters of Divinity for example, five of the six classes meet required areas. The sixth class can be used as one of your electives.
Those six classes will cover six core competencies that we believe all ministry leaders should be versed for maximum effectiveness in leading. The six areas: spirituality & worship, organizational leadership, evangelism, Christian formation & discipleship, missional leadership, & pastoral ministry (shepherding people).
We will offer one class per quarter (fall, winter, spring - summers off). The total of the 6 areas will be covered over 2 years. The classes will meet for 10 weeks at a time. See Class Description and Schedule Document below for more info. Fuller professors or adjunct faculty teach all classes.
