Soaking Prayer
What this prayer time looks like:
We call these times of prayer soaking prayer because we desire the person being prayed for to experience a time of receiving in prayer. A trained team of 2-3 people spend unhurried time listening and praying. The metaphor of a bath versus a shower conveys the "soaking" nature of being prayed for in this way. The person being prayed for shares their requests and the team listens and then brings the expressed needs to Jesus in prayer. Rather than a shorter time of prayer that you may receive at the close of a worship service, soaking prayer allows for anywhere from 30-60 minutes for ministry. There are teams of both men and women available.
